Wow! Ayos. Hahaha. Hmm, firstly may minemaintain na reputation ang SLU lalo na sa medtech.. so sigurado salaan yan hanggang maggraduate. Pero sa first year medyo ayos pa naman. May mga profs na mabait sa grades, meron din na katakot-takot magbigay kahit first year pa lang. Dapat alam m i-manage time m kasi mabigat sched sa SLU. Nakaka-stress ang Zoology, kasi hindi talaga siya parang para sa hayop pero pre- Anatomy ang Physiology na siya. Yung libro doon, AnaPhy na gagamitin. Practical exams sa lab, nakaka-tense :)) Super time pressured, so dapat laging prepared. Dapat master everything pag may quiz. Wag lang sa reviewer kundi pati sa book.

Ayun. basta strikto sa SLU. Kayang kaya pa naman siguro sa first year, kasi wala pa tayong major major na subject. Habang maaga gawa ka na foundation m sa grades, kasi pahirap na nang pahirap, lalo na sa 2nd at 3rd year. Tadtaran na ng majors at terror profs. :))

Looking for Alaska + The Fault in Our Stars

(Spoiler Alert)

I got more emotional when I read Looking for Alaska than The Fault in Our Stars, i don’t know why. But maybe because a) I really expected and anticipated that either Hazel or Gus was going to die b) although i also anticipated that Alaska will disappear or something, the relationship of Pudge and Alaska was “bitin” and lots of things were kept hanging.

I related much on LfA ‘cos Pudge is a guy whom I possess some of his characteristics (eg: skinny) and behaviors. TFiOS was nice; the book was full of figures of speech that I can’t even understand some of them until I read some reviews and questions on John Green (lol).

I loved the pranks in LfA and the boarding school things ‘cos there’s a bit of me that wants to experience the life there. Then “the day after” chapter went. There were voices in my head that went like “Alaska why do you have to die” “But why Alaska why” “Tell me this is just a prank” “Oh what did the Weekday Warriors do” “Is Jake responsible for this” “Was she going to break up with Jake ‘cos she fell in love with Pudge” “I LOVE YOU ALASKA” and of course again “ALASKA WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE” and ”ALASKA YOU’RE SO YOUNG” (lol)

Until the end, I was hoping that Alaska’s alive, that the to be continued will be continued, and somehow she and Pudge may have a good relationship.

I also loved the story of TFiOS, although it made me want to cry (but I didn’t). Gus was a gentleman; a nice guy. A good example of a loving boyfriend. I might want to use some of his lines in the future (lol). Also, the quote “Some infinities are bigger than other infinities” was very nice, but I didn’t really get the exact meaning of it until Hazel explained it. On the last parts, Hazel thanked Gus for them having moments of infinity (</3); although, as stated, some infinities are bigger than others. They may not had a very long time together, but still Hazel had treasured moments that for her lasts infinitely.

Both books are awesome. They’re breathtaking; a mixture of drama, romance, comedy, fun, and inspiration.

I think I’m going to read Paper Towns next.
